Bangalore, October 16 2009: Zee Kannada’s Baduku Jatakaabandi transcends above all reality shows in Kannada. Trying to fulfill the social responsibility of a channel, Zee Kannada through Baduku Jatakaabandi has been serving the society in more ways than one, tangibly and intangibly.
This time around Zee Kannada stands witness to the matrimony of a couple against all odds. First time ever a real marriage conducted on reality TV. A love story that rises above caste barrier. Naminatha, a boy from Jain community and Sangeetha, the girl from Kuruba community face stiff opposition from their parents for their marriage and have been threatened that they will never support them financially or otherwise.
But the villagers who are witnesses to this love story got the couple to Baduku Jatakaabandi to find a solution and get them married. The girl though had come all ready to get married but the boy then seemed to have second thoughts. As the episode unfolds, anchor Malavika and everybody present succeed in ridding him of all fears pertaining to the marriage and counsels him to go ahead with it.
Entire ambience turns into a celebration mode. Naminatha and Sangeetha get married on the sets of Baduku Jatakaabandi. All rituals, tradition and customs were followed as per their wish and were married in full glory. Naturally the scene was emotional, sentimental and yet joyous for all present.
